TAKING A COURSE ON FLORIDA VIRTUAL SCHOOL

HOW DO YOU SIGN UP FOR A FLVS ACCOUNT?

  1. Log in to
  2. Click on the Sign Uplink on the top of the screen (a new window will open).
  3. Select FLVS Flex Grades 6-12
  4. Click on the New Student Start Here button
  5. Select theI Live in Floridaoption
  6. Select Volusia on the drop down menu
  7. Select Public/Charter School on the drop down menu
  8. Click on the Continue button.
  9. Select the course you want to take, see back for School Counselor Recommendations
  10. Select the appropriate segment(s), Segment 1, 2, or all, from the drop down menu under Choose Segment
  11. Check the box stating“I understand this course has prerequisite(s) and I acknowledge that I have met these requirements.”
  12. Select the preferred start date by clicking on the calendar button and click the Continue button.
  13. Review your course selection
  14. Answer the next three questions
  15. Click on the Continue button
  16. Click on the Add More Courses button and follow steps 9-12 to add additional courses, otherwise click on the Continue button to create your account.
  17. Click on the Create My Account button.
  18. Complete the New Student Sign Up section by filling in all the blanks.
  19. Click on the Sign Up button
  20. Complete the Personal Information section
  21. Complete the Physical School section
  22. Make sure you select your school name: Deltona High School
  23. Select your School Counselor
  24. Florida Student ID is your social security number with an X, example: 123456789X
  25. District ID is your alpha code, example: 1ABCD
  26. Complete the Address and Telephone sections and click the Next button.
  27. Complete the Parent/Guardian Information and click the Next button.
  28. Complete the Race/Ethnicity section and click the Next button.
  29. Review the Course Request Summary Preview and then click the Continue button.
  30. Read the Student Commitment statement and click on the I agree box.
  31. Ask your parent/guardian to read the Parent/Guardian Commitment statement and click on the I agree box.
  32. Click on the Submit button.
  33. Click on the View Course Request Summary button.
  34. Review the Course Request Summary page and click the Sign Out button.
  35. Your School Counselor will review your course selection within 72 hours, and will approve or deny your request.
  36. After your course(s) has been approved, you will be assigned a teacher by FLVS, and can begin the course with a welcome call. FLVS usually takes 1 to 2 weeks to assign a teacher, but it can also happen the same day, depending on availability.
