Installation:
Download Instructions:
1)Download the Dialer_sp_4.0.1.006.018.isofile from support site on desktop
2)Insert blank writable CD in the CDRW drive of desktop machine
3)Use any available CD writing tool like Roxio, Nero etc.
4)Select Image burning option from that tool
(For Roxio it is “Copy” -> “Burn Image”)
(For Nero Express it is “Image, Project, and Copy”->“Disc Image or Saved Project”)
5)Brows and select ISO image for burning
6)Wait till CD burning will be over.
7)Remove the CD from CD RW drive and label it with name Dialer 4.0.1
8)Refer to the installation instructions now.
Installation Instructions:
1)Ensure that the Gold Master version of Dialer is installed.
2)Check if the Dialer has Blend feature installed on it and take a note of it.
3)Close all the sessions on the dialer and log into the dialer as a admin
4)Stop the processes from the dialer by executing the following commands:
“stop_pds”
“stop_mts”
“stop_db”
5)Log off from the admin login on the dialer.
6)Log in as sroot on the dialer
7)Refer to Release note and see if any of the files listed in appendix there was customized as per the customer’s need. Create a list of all the files that were modified for the site and take backupof all those files.These files will be overwritten as part of installation and will be available as Post installation Instruction. However, we recommended that these files are backed up before you proceed to the next steps.
8)Insert Dialer SP installation CD in the Linux Dialer DVD-ROM.
9)Go to the path "/mnt"
10)Execute the command "mountcdrom"
11)Go to the path "/mnt/cdrom"
12)Execute the script "SPInstaller" from the CD, the following prompt appears:

13)Select “Y” and then press enter if you have stopped all the dialer processes (As mentioned in point 4). Else, press N and the script will exit to allow you for stopping all the dialer processes.
14)On pressing “Y”, the next menu will be displayed as follows:

2: Blend
q: Quit installer

(X and Y are the current version of the dialer build)
15)Select “1“(i.e. Dialer) and press enter and allow the system to install Dialer and Midtier Service Pack RPM's on the system. Once all the RPM’s are installed, the script will finish executing and goes back to the Linux prompt again.
16)If Blend feature is also available on the dialer, run the “SPInstaller” script again.
17)After the initial prompt, the script will come to same menu as described in point 12 and this time select “2” (i.e. Blend) option and press enter. And Blend Service Pack RPM will also get installed on the dialer.
Post Installation Instructions:
1)Close all existing sessions on the dialer and login to the dialer as sroot.
2)Check the list you have prepared while following point 7 as mentioned in above section 4.1.
3)All original customized files will be available on following dialer paths
/opt/avaya/pds/svcpk1/origfiles
/opt/avaya/pds/svcpk1/origfiles_mts
Merge content of customization of all listed file from this path into the actual path of dialer using manual merge.
4)Logoff from the sroot user and login back to the system as a “admin” user
5)Start database
6)Start Midtier
7)Start PDS
