Morning Watch Leviticus – Week 6 Mar. 12-18, 2018

The Revelation, Appreciation and Application of Christ as

Our Sin Offering

Monday 3/12

Rom. 5:12

12Therefore just as through one man sin entered into the world, and through sin, death; and thus death passed on to all men because all have sinned --

Psa. 51:5

5Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin did my mother conceive me.

1 Cor. 15:3

3For I delivered to you, first of all, that which also I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;

John 8:44

44You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks it out of his own possessions; for he is a liar and the father of it.

1 John 3:10

10In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest. Everyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, neither he who does not love his brother.

Heb. 2:14-15

14Since therefore the children have shared in blood and flesh, He also Himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death He might destroy him who has the might of death, that is, the devil,
15And might release those who because of the fear of death through all their life were held in slavery.

Rom. 7:19-20

19For I do not do the good which I will; but the evil which I do not will, this I practice.
20But if what I do not will, this I do, it is no longer I that work it out but sin that dwells in me.

Tuesday 3/13

Rom. 8:3

3For that which the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending His own Son in the likeness of the flesh of sin and concerning sin, condemned sin in the flesh,

2 Cor. 5:21

21Him who did not know sin He made sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Heb. 9:26

26Since then He would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested for the putting away of sin through the sacrifice of Himself.

Isa. 53:10

10But Jehovah was pleased to crush Him, to afflict Him with grief. When He makes Himself an offering for sin, He will see a seed, He will extend His days, And the pleasure of Jehovah will prosper in His hand.

John 1:14, 29

14And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us (and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and reality.

29The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John 3:14-15

14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15That every one who believes into Him may have eternal life.

Heb. 4:15-16

15For we do not have a High Priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all respects like us,yetwithout sin.
16Let us therefore come forward with boldness to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace for timely help.

Wednesday 3/14

1 John 1:8-9

8If we say that we do not have sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Lev. 4:3-4

3If the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him present a bull of the herd without blemish to Jehovah for a sin offering for his sin that he committed.
4And he shall bring the bull to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting before Jehovah, and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull and slaughter the bull before Jehovah.

Isa. 53:11

11He will see the fruit of the travail of His soul, And He will be satisfied; By the knowledge of Him, the righteous One, My Servant, will make the many righteous, And He will bear their iniquities.

1 Peter 2:24-25

24Who Himself bore up our sins in His body on the tree, in order that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose bruise you were healed.
25For you were like sheep being led astray, but you have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

John 12:31-32

31Now is the judgment of this world; now shall the ruler of this world be cast out.
32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.

Thursday 3/15

1 John 1:5, 7

5And this is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

7But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.

Col. 1:12-14

12Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you for a share of the allotted portion of the saints in the light;
13Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins;

Psa. 51:10-12

10Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11Do not cast me from Your presence, And do not take the Spirit of Your holiness away from me.
12Restore to me the gladness of Your salvation, And sustain me with a willing spirit.

Phil. 3:3

3For we are the circumcision, the ones who serve by the Spirit of God and boast in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh,

Friday 3/16

Lev. 6:25

25Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered the sin offering shall be slaughtered before Jehovah; it is most holy.

Matt. 6:1-6 (1, 3, 5)

1But take care not to do your righteousness before men in order to be gazed at by them; otherwise, you have no reward with your Father who is in the heavens.
2Therefore when you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward in full.
3But you, when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4So that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.
5And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners, so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward in full.
6But you, when you pray, enter into your private room, and shut your door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

Gen. 1:26

26And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of heaven and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

Isa. 43:7

7Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created, formed, and even made for My glory.

Matt. 7:21-23

21Not every one who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who does the will of My Father who is in the heavens.
22Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, was it not in Your name that we prophesied, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name did many works of power?
23And then I will declare to them: I never knew you. Depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness.

Lev. 4:4-6

4And he shall bring the bull to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting before Jehovah, and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull and slaughter the bull before Jehovah.
5And the anointed priest shall take some of the blood of the bull and bring it to the Tent of Meeting,
6And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before Jehovah in front of the veil of the sanctuary.

Heb. 9:12-14 (12, 14)

12And not through the blood of goats and calves but through His own blood, entered once for all into the Holy of Holies, obtaining an eternal redemption.
13For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who are defiled sanctify to the purity of the flesh,
14How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Heb. 10:19

See Lord’s Day

1 Pet. 1:18-19

18Knowing that it was not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, that you were redeemed from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers,
19But with precious blood, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, the blood of Christ;

Lord’s Day 3/18

Heb. 10:16-25

16"This is the covenant which I will covenant with them after those days, says the Lord: I will impart My laws upon their hearts, and upon their mind I will inscribe them,''
17Hethensays,"And their sins and their lawlessnesses I shall by no means remember anymore.''
18Now where forgiveness of these is, there is no longer an offering for sin.
19Having therefore, brothers, boldness for entering the HolyofHolies in the blood of Jesus,
20Which entranceHe initiated for us as a new and living way through the veil, that is, His flesh,
21And havinga great Priest over the house of God,
22Let us come forward to theHolyofHolieswith a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
23Let us hold fast the confession of our hope unwavering, for He who has promised is faithful;
24And let us consider one another so as to incite oneanotherto love and good works,
25Not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom with some is, but exhorting oneanother;and so much the more as you see the day drawing near.
