All apartments are self-catering. Each has a private shower and open plan lounge/kitchenette with a double bed settee and TV. All apartments have a microwave and toaster. Most Budget Apartments have a bath rather than a shower.

There are some upstairs and downstairs apartments at Prestatyn and Camber, so request your choice if you have a preference, but your choice cannot be guaranteed.

Some apartments have only double beds. Make it clear in your request if you do not want only double beds. Some sites have no double beds. Other sites have only double beds in some apartments.

One-bedroom apartments have either two single beds or bunk beds. Some one-bedroom apartments may sleep 5 if it contains a single bed and a bunk bed in the bedroom, plus the bed-settee in the living room.

Two-bedroom apartments have two single beds in each bedroom, or some may have two bunk beds, or double beds, plus the bed-settee in the living area, which allows 6 people to sleep in one apartment.

Economy Budget apartments: B1 (one bedroom) B2 (two bedrooms). There are no Budget 2 apartments at Camber Sands. Bring your own towels. Bed Linen is provided in all apartments at our events. There are electricity meters in these apartments. £1 tokens purchased at reception.

CLASSIC apartments: K1 (one bedroom) K2 (two bedrooms). Bed Linen is provided in all apartments at our events. Bring your own towels. There are electricity meters in these apartments. £1 tokens purchased at reception.

CLUB ONE and CLUB TWO apartments: These apartments are of a higher quality. Bed linen and token towels are provided. Kitchen welcome pack. Cable TV. Limited availability. These apartments will be allocated during the week of 24th March. Please note that any school which had Club apartments in 2012 (and possibly 2011) will be placed on the list below those schools which have not had Club apartments previously. There is no charge for electricity.

Camber Sands does not have any CLUB ONE or BUDGET TWO apartments

Prestatyn Sands has all types of apartments

We will try to give you your first choice.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR APARTMENT IS BOOKED UNTIL 10 A.M. ON THE MONDAY. This means that you will not be obliged to leave your apartment before the competition is over

PONTINS - STAYING OFF-SITE

Each team will need to book an apartment through EPSCA (One per Team).

The apartment will act as a) Team room

b) Coaching and analysis area for players (chess equipment

not provided)

c) Base for parents, coaches, teachers to meet up and collect

children from.

d) Light refreshment preparation area for team and persons

accompanying them

The cost of an apartment will be £250

Where possible this should be paid as a single cheque made out to EPSCA.

This covers 5 players and an adult (usually their manager/teacher/coach). Other accompanying/visiting adults will need to be listed as school visitors at £5 each for the whole weekend. There is no charge for extra children.

Please note that Pontins also have their own standard daily entry charge for all visitors, usually £4 for adults and £2 for children (prices not yet confirmed) that all visitors must pay on arrival

EPSCA will not charge individuals for day passes this year.

All persons entering the site as part of the team or those accompanying them will be registered to the team and will need to be included on the booking form. Each school will have a visitor list and only people on the list will be allowed onto the site. For most teams this will be a cheaper option than EPSCA day passes

The apartment cannot be occupied over-night.

It is booked as a team room only.

Where a team has some members staying on-site and some off-site.

If 3 or more apartments are booked as accommodation and the team is happy to nominate one of those apartments as a base then the organisers reserve the right to waive the need to book an extra team room. Please contact the organisers to discuss.
