These are the winners of Computerworld Singapore’s seventh annual Customer Care Awards (CCA), which salutes the nation’s best providers of pre- and post-implementation consulting, support and maintenance work in the area of information and communication technology (ICT) as chosen by their customers.
In the first quarter of 2013, as in the previous six years, more than 3,000 of Singapore’s most progressive information executives were invited to participate in the exercise of rating, on the scale of 0 to 10, the performance of their ICT solution providers and partners in delivery of services at every stage of a given technology deployment—running from early stage consulting through complete implementation, user testing, and continual maintenance, support and process enhancement.
Their responses were gathered, analysed and audited by regional market analyst house Fairfax Business Research (FBR)–which is a sister company of Fairfax Business Media, the publisher of Computerworld Singapore–for the highest accuracy of results possible. The ICT vendors with the highest scores across all evaluation areas in their respective categories won and entered the annals of Computerworld Singapore’s CCA history.
This year, 15 companies took up a total of 18 awards. The multiple award winners were Hewlett-Packard Singapore, Microsoft Singapore and SingTel with two awards each. The other paragons of customer excellence in 2013 were: APC by Schneider Electric, Check Point Software Technologies, Cisco Systems (USA) Pte Ltd, CommScope, Dell Singapore Pte Ltd, EMC International SARL, Fortinet, Google, IBM Singapore, SAP, Symantec Corporation and VMware.
“It is by understanding and keeping pace with customer demands that vendors can survive in a competitive global technology industry,” said said Computerworld Singapore Editor, Jack Loo. “And today, the winners are rewarded for being able to keep in tune with our readers’ requests and specifications for the past 12 months.”
Mark Hobson, Asia Regional Manager of Fairfax Business Media, said: "According to the votes of our readers, the winners of the Computerworld Singapore Customer Care awards have displayed professionalism, efficiency and care for their customers. They have been able to help their clients realise even more value from their technology investments.”
