Presentation
The exhibition “Wools of Europe” will highlight one hundred European sheep breeds.
For each breed, there will be a photo of the animal, part of a fleece, an article made with this type of wool (clothing, upholstery, decoration, textile art,…) and a small description of the breed and of the product (in French and in English).
An attractive and aesthetical production will highlight the beauty of the animals and of the products (light, music, installation, video pictures,…)
A large map of Europe will help visitors to recognise the main breeding regions of the different sheep breeds. The breeds which were crossed with merino, as well as the rare and limited-numbers breeds, will be specially marked.
The main properties of wool will be clearly presented.
Location
The exhibition will be situated in a small building, between two historical barns where not only will the sheep shearing demonstrations be taking place, but there will also be the exhibition of the merino breeds and technical displays.
The building has two floors of about 100 m2 each
An area will be available where it will be possible to show videos and lay out flyers/brochures given by the persons/enterprises taking part in the exhibition.
