WORLD HISTORY
World War II Video Assignment
STEP 1: Get into a group of 6 people of your choice. Please make sure to exchange contact information.
STEP 2: Each person will get to pick one of the six videos from the list on my website to watch in its entirety. All of WWII videos are listed below and are clickable by link.
STEP 3: During the course of the video each student will be taking notes on the front and back of one piece of paper. The notes must be written and will be collected.
STEP 4: Condense the notes you have taken into a written outline format that you can share with your video group. Your notes will be photocopied and each person in the group will get a copy of the notes, so 6 copies must be made. This will be one page and must be explained to the group. (36 points)
STEP 5: Each person in the group will be responsible for their video in our GIFT ASSIGNMENT that is representative of your video. It will be 2 pages (front and back) with color focusing on the episodes that have been shown. The GIFT sheet will be passed around to each member of the group and given one night to make their contributions. (44 points)
STEP 6: The group will turn in all of their notes that they have taken as well as the 1 page written outline they have made as well as the gift assignment.

* Absences will not be taken into account unless you communicate with your group and the teacher to make sure that what you are supposed to do gets done.
** Students will be given one class day to go over each of their one page of notes and plan out their gift assignment responsibilities.

THE GIFT ASSIGNMENT
What is the GIFT? It is a 2 page description of the chapter(s) being studied using pictures and different types of fonts to visually represent what is being discussed in the unit. The GIFT takes time and planning, make sure to take your time!
How do you go about creating the GIFT?
1. Always put the TITLE of the chapter at the top of the page and the number of the chapter we are studying.
2. Next, PLAN out how much information you will be putting on the GIFT. I typically focus on the things used in the titles at the top of each section.
3. Create a FLOW of information that will make sense to the reader using pictures and different font styles.
4. Try and make sure there is no white space on the paper and that I FILL in any white space with pictures or letters.
5. LOOK it over, or have a friend look it over to make sure that it makes sense.
