Citizenship and Leadership Special Awards
There will be 4 special awards:
- Junior Citizenship
- Senior Citizenship
- Junior Leadership
- Senior Leadership
To apply for a Citizenship and/or Leadership Award, the 4-H member must submit an essay for each award in which they wish to apply. Junior members (age 9-14) should limit their essay to 200 words. Senior members (age 15 and over) should limit their essay to 400 words. Essays must be written by the applicant. Applicant should clearly state which award they are applying for. Essays should be hand written in ink or typed. Each essay should address the following:
- Describe that citizenship or leadership means to you.
- Include how citizenship or leadership affects your day to day life and some personal experiences you have had in the past.
- Describe you goals for your future in 4-H as they related to citizenship or leadership.
