2 Term test will start at 7pm sharp. No extra time will be given if you are late. Please be informed that there will be lecture after the term test.

Class Format:

  1. Class will be in lecture / hands-on workshop format.
  2. The TEL 2027-2032 lab is reserved between 7:00pm and 10:00pm for 3-hour lecture.

Grading Scheme:

MARKING SCHEME:
2 Assignments (15% each) / 30%
2 Midterm Exams (20% each) / 40%
Final Exam / 30%
Total / 100%

Final Exam:

Final exam is 3-hour paper exam.

Midterm Exams:

  1. Midterm exams are 1.5-hour paper exams.
  2. Missing one midterm exam:

If you miss a midterm exam, NO make-up will be given. With a valid signed attending physician’s form indicating medical reasons of absence, the 20% component will be added to your final examination. Hence, you will write a 50% worth final examination.

  1. Missing two midterm exams:

No student will be permitted to miss more than one. Any one who misses two midterm exams will get an automatic score of zero on one of the missing midterm grades. With a valid signed attending physician’s form indicating medical reason of absence, one 20% component will be added to your final examination. You will write a 50% worth final examination.

Assignments:

  1. This component is based on individual work.
  2. Prepare for a total of 2 assignments, each worth 15%.
  3. Score of each assignment will be 0 - 15.
  4. Assignments are due at 7pm on Oct 5 and Nov 16, respectively.
  5. No late assignment will be accepted.
  6. Any late submission (or non-submission) will receive a score of zero

SAS is available in all CNS labs. However, if you would like to obtain a personal copy for use at home, the license for SAS is $100 per year and is obtainable from Computing and Network Services (CNS)
