You will be collaborating with 1-2 other students, in order to create propaganda supporting YOUR organelle! Your organelle is the BEST in any cell! The citizens of Cellford, Michigan should vote YOUR organelle as city mayor!

  1. You need AT LEAST ONE FLYER which contains all required CONTENT about your organelle.
  2. You need AT LEAST ONE POSTERwhich displays all necessary CONTENT about your organelle.
  3. You need AT LEAST ONE gimmick (slogan/motto, song/rap, etc.).
  4. You need to PRESENT your propaganda in an over-dramatic, pumped-up, creative manner.

Content to Include:

  1. Structure 
    What does your organelle look like? Will the citizens recognize it? Is it “accessible”? Is your organelle professional looking?
  2. Function 
    What does your organelle do for cells/Cellford, MI? What will your organelle do for Cellford, MI?
  3. Does it “help out”, “collaborate” or work with any other organelles in a cell/Cellford, MI?
  4. Regardless of the type of propaganda media, it needs to somehow (and always) connect to the structure and/or function of your organelle.
  5. All content must be accurate, and spelling must be correct.

The Rally (Presentation):

  1. All group members will need to participate equally. This means that each member will need to speak intelligently about their organelle, and each member will need to promote various media.
  2. The “rally” or presentation should be OVER THE TOP!
  3. Students will receive bonus points for dressing-up, and dressing similarly (to show union for their organelle).
  4. Creativity will be graded by extra credit, the crazier, sillier, and yet relevant your presentation, THE BETTER!
  5. At the end of the rally students will vote for their “chosen” organelle. The group which “wins” will receive candy!
