COURSE COMMITMENT
Professional Coaching (4 hours)
The learner must attend 4 professional coaching sessions. Candidates are free to choose a coach outside of EF as long as the coach has completed a recognized coaching qualification and/or has significant experience as a coach. Candidates may also choose to be coached by the coach running the course. These sessions will be delivered free of charge
Peer coaching (8 hours)
Each learner on the course will be assigned a peer coach and a peer client. You must complete 4 hours as a coach and 4 hours as a client. As your peer will likely be based in a different region to you, you must be able and willing to use Skype to complete the coaching sessions
Pro-bono coaching (8 hours)
Each learner will provide 4 hours of coaching to two clients over the duration of the course. The client will not be a member of the course and it will be up the learner to find the client and manage the coaching sessions. The clients will be asked for feedback on your coaching sessions.
Reflective Journal
You must complete a weekly entry in your reflective journal and post this online. These reflections will form the basis of your discussion with others. The weekly reflections will be based on the topic of that week’s discussion. Further reflections on your experience as a coach and client will also be required.
Full Personal Review
Each learner will complete a full personal review. This involves collecting feedback from a variety of sources (professional, family, and friends) on aspects of your personality and behavior. From this, you will compile a short report (1200 – 1500 words) that outlines your key learning from the experience and a personal development plan.
