-We have a new child care provider for the last 3 meetings of the school year, who was referred by Danyale Ridler. The PTO voted and agreed to give $30 as a thank-you for helping us out last minute.
-Totals sales from the school store in March (3rd grade) were $190 and in April (2nd grade) were $266.50. The PTO agreed to open the school store at all school events and 2 times per school year for 2nd and 3rd graders. Keychains were an item that was suggested that we add to the inventory.
-Jen changed our Facebook page to closed and removed names that no longer have students at Orendorf. Now in order to become a member of the group, Jen must accept your request.
-Jen was able to purchase 2 heavy duty pencil sharpeners for the staff as gifts. The PTO agreed to give Mrs. Hyatt a $50 gift card to the Conewago Inn for Administrative Professionals Day.
-Jen reminded the PTO officers to get information to Kris Schraudner for the newsletter before the end of every month.
-It is time to submit dates for PTO events for the 2014/2015 District calendar.
-Jen is still working on parent surveys. She will probably have them out next month.
-We received another $500 grant from Walmart to purchase tables. We are going to wait to see if we get any other grants before we purchase the rest of the tables needed.
-Jen asked the Scholarship committee if they were available to present the scholarships at the Awards Ceremony. Natali and Cindy are not available, so we will have a representative do it instead.
-More information was received on making soccer nets for the playground. It turns out that it is too expensive to make them with the weather resistant PVC piping. The PTO agreed that now may not be the right time to purchase them.
