- The hirer shall be wholly responsible for the admission and control of the activities of those using the pool and shall ensure that no unauthorised persons use the pool.
- The hirer shall ensure that no hard soled shoes are worn alongside the pool at any time.
- The hirer shall ensure that a recognised lifesaver, as defined below, shall always be present on the poolside throughout the period of hire. There should be one lifesaver per 20 people present
- It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that the lifeguards comply with the operating procedures.
- The lifeguard must be over 16 years of age and must
- possess the requisite skills in swimming, lifesaving and artificial respiration for programmed swimming lessons
- currently hold a bronze award (within the last three years) or higher, of the Royal Lifesaving Society for unprogrammed swimming lessons
- currently hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (within the last two years) or higher , of the RLSS.
