Accomplishment Report SY: 2008-2009

The Office of the Student Services (OSS) is a division mandated to work for the development of the general studentry. Some of its significant accomplishment could hardly be quantified considering that its programs are focused on the improvement of behavior.

Below are the considered highlights of the Office’s accomplishments for year 2007:

1. Evaluated and recognized 74 student organizations under the following categories:

2. Processed scholarships for students: 3,820 for the 1st semester SY 2008-2009 and 3,600 for the 2nd semester SY 2008-2009.

  1. Conducted Orientation Programs for the Freshmen in the colleges of Obrero Campus.
  1. Coordinated student election for the OCSC and Local Councils in Obrero.
  1. Coordinated CWTS projects as follows:

August 28, 2008Gave support to Colleges College of Technology, College of Arts & Sciences and College of Engineering Accreditaion by way of conducting cleanliness and beautification drive in each colleges and waving bannerettes during courtesy call of Accreditation Team in the Office of the President.

September 06 & 07, 2008Blood Letting Activity, USEP – Obrero: Donated 342 bags of blood in collaboration with the Philippine National Red Cross Davao Branch through recruitment of donors

September 20, 2008The CWTS joined the International Coastal Cleanup with a theme “Daluyang Tubig at Baybayin Inalagaan, Ating Buhay” at 6:00 – 11:30 am. They had also the repacking of goods for civil service to the victims of the war in CotabatoCity.

October 04, 2008Conducted Community Needs Assessment to the assigned barangay in preparation for CWTS Community Immersion

November 1-6, 2008Day and Evening CWTS helped the preparation of the College of Education for their Accreditation through cleanliness drives.

Nov. 2008 every SundayDTI cleanliness drive with the cooperation of their Accreditation through cleanliness drives.

December 6, 20082nd Blood letting Activity of the School Year. The CWTS Day and Evening Program donated 107 bags of blood in assistance with the Philippine National Red Cross Davao Branch.

January 10 – 11, 2009Students conducted their Resurvey Activity in their respective Barangays.

The Office has well implemented too the following activities 2007 Intramurals, Clean and Beautification Drive by the different Organizations, drug abuse information drive and various seminars/workshop related to health and current issues.

Also various sports activities were supervised and participated. These were selection of athletes for MASCUF friendship games at Bukidnon and the Davao City Women’s Basketball League.
