Purpose of job:To support a disabled woman with my daily living needs in my home.
Hours per week: as agreed
Hourly rate:£9.40
- The Personal Assistant is required to give their National Insurance Number and will be paid by cheque on a monthly basis.
- Personal Assistant will be entitled to 5.6 weeks leave per year pro rata
The duties that I will require from a Personal Assistant are;
Domestic work
To assist me in accessing community activities as a wheelchair user which entails pushing me in a safe and competent manner in a manual wheelchair.
- I would like you to do the following: To maintain a high standard of cleanliness within my home, which includes general tidying in the home, changing and making beds, dusting, hoovering, polishing, mopping floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom surfaces and any other domestic duties that I may ask of you.
- Support me to complete any other tasks that I am unable to do unsupported that improve the quality of my life and promote my independence.
Enable me to carry any other chosen activity, whether inside or outside of my home, by carrying out any other duties and requests that I may reasonably make.
As my personal Assistant you must;
- Respect my privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times with regards to my personal life and what happens in my home.
- Maintain health and Safety at all times and Work in a way that ensures that you are not placing your safety or that of your employer at risk
- Report any accident no matter how minor to the employer (e.g spilt water) so that it can be dealt with safely
- In case of an emergency you will be expected to remain with me even if your working hours have finished. You will be given prior instructions on how to deal with such situations by me.
