About the District
Posen is a village of about 230 residents located in the county of Presque Isle and is a thriving agricultural community. It is noted for its annual Potato Festival in September. The Posen community takes pride in their school and it is a main focal point.
The Posen Consolidated School District #9 encompasses one K-12 building within its one hundred fifty five square miles. The district has enrollment of over 240 students, with the greatest majority of students being bussed each day to and from school.
A strong sense of community pride enhances the effective working relationship between the schools and the municipalities served by the district.
In many ways the schools in Posen serve as community centers. Posen schools offer and host a variety of after school activities, weekend, and summer activities.

Points of Community Pride
The Posen Consolidated School District #9 is proud of the consistent progress being made on several fronts throughout the district. The community of Posen has a history of embracing the successes of the schools. Specific points of pride include:
• Strong community support for sinking fund to support school facilities.
• A dedicated teaching faculty who is focused on the success of children.
• A strong offering of athletic programs led by dedicated coaches.
• An athletic boosters club that is dedicated to raising much of the necessary funds to support a wide variety of athletic programs.

• A school success worker provides counseling to K-12 students and has had great success.

• The community has supported a bond issue for technology and busses. They also passed a 10 year ½ mill sinking fund for building upkeep.

Salary and Contract Information
The Board will offer a comprehensive, multi-year contract. Total salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience of the successful candidate and requirements of the position.
