Executive Headteacher: Mrs C Lee

Dear Parent/Carer,
The half term holiday has arrived! I hope that you will all enjoy the week ahead and take time to recharge the batteries ready for the busy half term in the run up towards Christmas. Yes, Christmas - only 8 weeks away! The Reception children particularly have shown great stamina in their first weeks of school life; we're very proud with how they've settled in to become part of the school team.
We welcomed Ms Besharati back to school this week following her maternity leave. After the half term break, she will be teaching year 5 from Monday to Wednesday whilst Miss Foster completes the week with this class.
Miss Foster will be working with year 3 in preparation for taking on the class full time after Christmas when Miss Meakin's contract expires (her time at the school was linked to Miss Besharati's maternity leave). We hope that Miss Meakin will enjoy her last half term with us at Ben Rhydding and hopefully the plans in place will help the children to make the transition process a smooth one.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Harvest Festivals; your support is hugely appreciated. Thank you also for supporting this year's charity to help St John's Church, Ben Rhydding repair their roof. £125.37 was raised.
Whilst we hope the children enjoy Halloween activities, please keep safety in mind at all times. We look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday 2nd November 2015.
Kind regards

Mrs C. Lee Mrs L. Seton
