November 2, 2014
Meeting was called to order by Randy Paul at 12:10.
Pledge of Allegiance followed by a moment of silence and the mission statement.
Officers present- Kolman Fuzy, Randy Paul, Tony Losego, Brian Nissley Kim Chafin, J.R. Gantner, Robin Pickins (MRF) and Kathy Gantner.
Greeting and welcome by Kolman – Harley was called to work and not able to be present at the meeting.
New members or Guest – none present.
Motion to waive the reading of the minutes from the September meeting by Steve Crabtree, 2nd by Brian Nissley

- Vote like a motorcyclist. Support those running who support us. AMA has voter information on its web site.
- Right of Way bill was attached to the Hit and Run bill. Lately there have been several more hit and run accidents in the news so we are hoping that it gets some attention and is moved along.
- Distracting drivers – one of the major auto manufactures has announced that new cars will now have Wi-Fi built into the design of the new models. This adds to the other distractions already present.
- Roger Wright reported that Bicyclist have their own right of way bill.

Old Business:
- Toy Run – Melissa Stevens report:
Food list is being circulated with what food is needed.
Volunteers to work the food line – sign up if you want to help.
Rich Baker will be our auctioneer again this year.
The committee has decided that the proceeds will be donated 35% to the Fire Fighters 4 Kids and 65% to help veteran’s families.
Volunteers are still needed to get waivers signed in the parking lot before the run.
Hollywood casino will be donating all the desserts.
Several media has been contacted to cover the run. Fingers crossed that one of the TV stations will be present.
Thursday – 6 pm – Sticks and Stones – auction items staging.
Saturday – 9 am – meet at Exclusive to set up.
There was some discussion about the posting on Facebook by a former Abate member using our Toy Run flyer and creating an event calling it the Fire Fighters 4 Kids Toy Run. Robin will be contacting Rod Taylor who can send a cease and desist. Since the public is invited to the run we encourage all to attend. They do help promote the run, but we can prevent them from using our flyer in future years. If anyone has an issue with anyone from the Fire Fighters 4 Kids individuals, please contact an officer and let them deal with the issue. We do not want any negative publicity.
