Map My Walk Mobile App Instructions:
1) Download the Map My Walk application to your Smartphone
2) Choose to either create your free account if you have not done so already, or log in with your user information– These instructions will demonstrate someone who is logging in with an account they have already made.
3) Enter your username and password (or log in with Facebook) and select “Log In”
4) Once you are on your home page there are many things that you can do. To view all of your options, click on the icon in the upper left corner. This tab will allow you to navigate throughout the application.
5) To add the Center for Physical Activity and Health as a friend:
a. Click the “Friends” tab
b. Select “Add”
c. Enter “CPAH” into the search bar and click the search button
d. When the Center for Physical Activity and Health appears, choose add
e. Once we receive and accept your friend request you will receive an alert informing you that you can access our profile!
6) The next step is to find the UTK Center for Physical Activity and Health’s walking maps! To begin this, select “back” until you return to the icon in the upper left corner or homepage.
a. Select “Routes”
b. Go to “Filter”
c. Change the default distance settings to “0” mi to and “3” mi
d. Click “Done”
e. Once your filter is set, choose “Nearby”
f. Many map options will appear. Any of our maps will be labeled “UTK Center for Physical Activity and Health…” and will be followed by
i. Campus location that the walk begins/ends at
ii. Approximate distance of the walk
g. Once you find which map you would like to follow, select that map by clicking on it
h. You can bookmark this map and save it to your favorites by selecting the star in the upper right corner
i. If you are ready to start your walk, you may click “Do It” located above the star. This will give you live tracking and allow you to follow the route on your phone and save it under your completed routes when you are done!
