Thank you to Mr Killick and Mrs Waller for all their hard work. Do check out the website for some fantastic photos and a full report in the ‘Celebrations’ section.

Governors’ Questionnaire Reminder

The governors are still very interested in receiving anymore questionnaire returns. If you need a copy please contact the school office.

Sports Kit – Missing

One of our Year 5 children has had a large amount of football kit gone missing. Please have a good look for any items that may have accidentally become mixed up with your child’s kit.

-Yellow Chelsea Kit inc. yellow/black socks and shinpads

- Lime Green Astros (Boots) - Nike Petrol Blue Football Boots

- Nike Tracksuit Bottoms (Shiny Black)

Please hand in to or contact the Office if you find any of the kit.

Leaver’s Service – Now Wednesday 15th July

Please note that we have had to change the date of the Leaver’s service due to a double booking at the church. All parents are welcome.

Reading Book Amnesty Again!

Please could everyone have a really good look at home for any school books – return them with you child – no questions asked!! Particularly sad that ‘Flat Stanley’ is completely missing and also short of ‘Horrid Henry’ and ‘Littlenose’!

Spring Fayre – Saturday 16th May 1pm to 4pm

Thank you to all those who brought contributions for the fayre today. For those who forgot or wish to we will be collecting cakes next Friday 15th May.

Readathon

As part of our Book Week – May 18th – May 22 - we are running the Readathon again this year. As the name suggests this is a sponsored book reading activity raising money for two children’s charities – The Roald Dahl Foundation and CLIC Sargent. Both charities aim to help children suffering from cancer and give practical support to their parents by supplying wheelchairs, transportation etc. Your child will bring home a Readathon sponsor card and a Guide for Parents explaining what you can do. Please note the giftaid column on the card and do use it if you’re a tax payer – it really adds to the charity donation at NO EXTRA COST to you. The sponsor card then needs to be presented with the total sponsor money (any cheques made payable to St. James’ Junior School) by the end of this term so that I can send it off for the necessary information to be used. The Readathon gives a focus to reading and it helps children raise money for two extremely worthwhile charities. I hope you and your children will get involved. Happy reading! Mrs Ingman
