JOB TITLE: Seasonal Front of House Assistant

REPORTING TO: Assistant Manager/Duty Supervisor

LOCATION: Buckler’s Hard

HOURS OF WORK:

Hours will be variable and will include weekend and bank holiday working.

Objectives:

Working in the Tearooms, Ice Cream Kiosk, Admissions and the Maritime Museum; maintaining a high standard of customer service, following all Health and Safety procedures.

Main Duties:

·  To familiarise yourself with the history of the village

·  To ensure excellent customer service at all times through informing visitors of the facilities available, answering visitors’ queries, maximising sales and serving customers with enthusiasm and courtesy

·  To assist with all aspects of the daily running of the tearooms.

·  To check daily for pre-booked groups

·  To ensure the correct cash and credit card handling procedures are observed, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor

·  To keep an accurate record of monies taken

·  To work on food preparation if required, having completed the Level 2 Food Hygiene course and to follow correct hygiene and environmental health requirements as instructed by the supervisor

·  To clear tables and wipe clean and help on the dishwasher

·  To ensure your unit and surrounding area are well presented and clean

·  To report all cleanliness issues or structural or electrical problems to the Assistant Manager or Manager

·  To ensure all stock is correctly stored, displayed and rotated as instructed by the supervisor

·  To assist with stock taking as required

·  To check public toilets on a regular basis throughout the day, as instructed by the supervisor

·  To adhere to all health and safety requirements and be aware of the contents of the Beaulieu Health & Safety Policy.

·  To be aware of the contents of the Buckler’s Hard Procedure File and Beaulieu Staff Handbook

·  To attend training course as requested

·  To undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Duty Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Manager

Having your own transport is essential due to the location and limited public transport.
