Become an associate of CASCADE

Associate member ship of CASCADE is free. Associates’ names or that of your organisation will be displayed on the CASCADE web-site along with information you provide about you or your organisation.

Membership of the CASCADE policy and practice board will be drawn from the associate membership and you may also be invited to join advisory groups for individual research projects.

Associate membership is open to individual children’s social care researchers who are not part of Cardiff University (Cardiff University staff and research students have other ways of being involved in CASCADE). It is also available to organisations that have an interest in children’s social care research. This is likely to include local authorities, third sector organisations, independent providers, interest groups and networks.

To become an associate please fill in the brief form below and email the form to . CASCADE will accept as associate members any individual or organisation whose aims and work fit with CASCADE’s mission.

CASCADE is concerned with all aspects of community-based responses to social need in children and families, including family support services, children in need services, child protection, looked after children and adoption.

It aims first and foremost to improve the well-being and safety of children and their families by:

-Generating primary research evidence of an internationally recognised high quality.

-Making the results of this research, and research produced elsewhere, available in an accessible form for children and families who receive social care services, professionals and policy-makers.

-Developing social care research capacity in Wales by providing opportunities for researchers from undergraduate through to senior career stages.

-Engaging a range of collaborators in research, including children and young people, parents and carers, practitioners, policy-makers and social care providers from the public, private and third sectors.
