If both the faculty and student are carrying out a half ACRE you can choose to do the project over the whole summer working part-time or in either the first or second summer term working full-time.
If the student is carrying out a full ACRE then regardless of the track of the faculty member the project must be carried out over the whole summer.
*Please note that student housing and food service will be limited to the 10 week period from late May-early August which will be set near the end of the spring semester.

The faculty-student team should submit a joint proposal that includes the following components. These should be in the order described below.
[ ]Application Form. This application form should be the cover page of the proposal.
[ ]Description of Project. This typed narrative should provide a detailed description of theproposed project. It should include most of the information that will be used to judge the merit of the project for funding. Maximum length 1000 words. If the proposal exceeds 1000 words, the proposal will be returned without review.
[ ]Bibliography. A bibliography of pertinent literature, works, etc.
[ ]Statement of the Faculty Applicant. The faculty applicant should write a statement not to exceed 500 words that addresses the criteria for project evaluation listed in the selection criteria. A templateto follow is on page 3 of this document. It must be included as part of the electronic submission of this ACRE application.
[ ]Budget. The budget must include each item required to complete this project and its estimated cost. A detailed rationale for each line item on the budget should be included. Since the budget award provided through the summer program is limited, anticipated sources of additional required funding must be noted.
[ ] Submission of Proposal. The proposal must be submitted, following the instructions outlined on the Summer ACRE Information webpage, by the specified deadline. Proposals received after the deadline will be returned to the applicant. Please submit a hard copy of the proposal cover page with signatures to Dr. Matt Fotis, Theater Department.
[ ]Other Approval. Proposed work involving human subjects (e.g. interviews, physiological or psychological testing) needs prior or pending approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB, Proposed work involving use of vertebrate animals requires prior or pending approval from the Animal Care and Use Committee (ACUC,
