For his courage to risk bringing about a radical transformation, from a conventional pesticide manufacturer to a provider of ecologically neutral insect combatting with the “Insect Respect” seal of quality, the Bielefeld entrepreneur and ambassador for a new entrepreneurial sustainability was awarded the Querdenker Award 2014 in the category of “Lateral Thinker” on Tuesday evening.
From a conventional biocidal manufacturer to the world’s first provider of ecologically neutral solutions in insect combatting: the transformation of Dr Hans-Dietrich Reckhaus powerfully demonstrates how self-critical contemplation regarding the value of insects is a precursor tothought leadership in the truest sense of the word.
The radical transformation of the Bielefeld entrepreneur, who as a pioneer and ambassadorfights for respectful dealings with insects by calling into life the “Insect Respect” seal of quality, also convinced the jury at the Querdenker-Award 2014. Of five finalists, the jury elected Dr Hans-Dietrich Reckhaus as the lateral thinker of the year.The award ceremony took place on Tuesday evening at BMW-Welt in Munich.
For Dr Hans-Dietrich Reckhaus, the Querdenker-Award 2014is both recognition and incentive: “The award demonstrates how important it is for us entrepreneurs to question our own actions. And it encourages me to continue along this path, within the senseof a sustainable economy.”
New Look at Innovation
Since 2010, the Querdenker-Award annually acknowledges outstanding minds, innovative companies and special performances in business dealings.
