Executive Summary
What worked well 2016-17
Music tuition subsidised for 3 pupils. This was to raise the achievement and interest level of pupils in extra-curricular activities. All reported to be making good progress and enjoying learning a musical instrument and will continue in the academic Year 2016-17.
Qualified Level 3 Special Needs TA employed to raise the attainment and progress of pupils in English and Maths. This involved the TA working ‘reactively’ with follow-up sessions hand also proactively in timetabled interventions.
Developing social skills through subsidising attendance at Early Birds Club in the morning.
Careful analysis of progress by SENDCo.
Close relationships with other agencies.
Drama teacher employed. Pupils, in their interviews, stated that they really enjoyed these sessions.
Play therapist employed and good progress made with social skills and relationships.
Residential Year 4 trip which broadened pupils educational experience
