Minutes Previous Meeting
The minutes of the meeting held on 10th January 2016 were approved. There were no matter arising. The minutes proposed by Brian Burdett, and seconded by Mike Williams.The Committee noted the sad passing of Dennis Hutchins, the past South Wales Area Association President, Marilyn Morris and Steve Rogers. Condolences were recorded for families and friends.
Chairperson’s Report
The Chairhad nothing to report other than what was recorded elsewhere on the Agenda or in Any Other Business.Secretary’s Report
The Secretary ran through the incoming post.There were no immediate matters of interest.Treasurer’s ReportThe Treasurer updated the Committee on the current status of the accounts. These were agreed by Council.It was noted that the FIQ annual renewal had arrived and there was an additional invoice for the ETBF sanctioning for the Welsh Open.
Juniors
As Mrs Hall was not present, there were no issues raised.
Child protection
It was noted that Mrs Jane King had volunteered to become the new Child Protection Officer, aided by Mr Simon King. This was unanimously approved by Council. The Secretary will make the necessary arrangements. Thanks were given to Mrs and Mr King for volunteering.
International Participation
The Chair confirmed his selection for the Senior Triple Crown, and European Men and Women teams. It was noted that no information had yet been received about the full Triple Crown.
AOB
- It was noted that Coors will be renewing their sponsorship of the Welsh Open.
- It was noted that the South Wales County Trials would be arranged. The organisers were reminded of the need for the representative teams to sign up to appropriate terms of reference. The Secretary offered to assist in this regard.
- It was noted there were problems with the Facebook page, which Mr Williams and Mr Wellsteed were sorting.
