CLASS 1 Open Individual Jumping
Jumps approx 1.05m - 1.10m. Only competitors taking part in Class 2 may enter the Individual Open class.
CLASS 2 Open Team Jumping
Jumpsapprox. 1.10m – 1.15m.Mixed teams will be made up where necessary.
CLASS 3 Intermediate Individual Jumping
Jumps approx. 95cm. Combination of horse and rider must not have represented the Pony Club in Open Area SJ or HT, in previous years.
Only competitors taking part in teams may enter the Individual classes.
CLASS 4 Intermediate Team Jumping
Jumps approx 1m – 1.05m.
Combination of horse and rider must not have represented the Pony Club in Open Area SJ or HT, in previous years.

CLASS 5 – Mini-Mini Individual Jumping
12 years and under on January 1st 2018
This class is for genuine novice riders who have not been successful in Mini/Level 2 competitions.
Jumps 60 – 70cm with cross poles.
No rider to have completed a SJ or Horse Trials course at 80cm of above.
Only competitors taking part in teams may enter the Individual classes

12 years and under on January 1st 2018
Jumps 60 - 70cm. No rider to have completed a SJ or Horse Trials course at 80cm of above

CLASS 7 Novice Individual Jumping
Jumps approx 80 – 90cm.
Combination of horse and rider not to have represented the Pony Club in Open or Intermediate Area SJ or HT, in previous years. Only competitors taking part in teams may enter the Individual classes
CLASS 8Novice Team Jumping
Jumps approx 85 – 95cm.
Combination of horse and rider not to have represented the Pony Club at Open or Intermediate Area SJ or HT, in previous years.

CLASS 9 Mini Individual Jumping
12 years & under on January 1st 2018. Jumps approx 70cm – 75cm. Combination not to have competed above 85cm.Only competitors taking part in teams may enter the Individual classes.
CLASS 10 Mini Team Jumping
12 years & under on January 1st 2018Jumps approx 75 – 80cm. Combination not to have competed above 85cm
All classes will run as SINGLE PHASE– approx 12 fences in total, 6 then 6 timed and faults accrued throughout. All riders will jump against the clock immediately after their first round, even with faults unless eliminated. Winner is the rider with the fewest (or zero) faults with the fastest time in the second section
Teams will have the best 3 scores added together.
COWDRY TEAM SHOW JUMPINGCONDITIONS OF ENTRY
ENTRY FEE - £15 per class & £76 per team including 1st aid (Cowdray £60 per team)
- Entries may be limited so early entry is advisable.
- It is a condition of entry that all team managers inform competitors of the rules and their drawn order of jumping.
- There will be a drawn order of jumping available on our website for both individual and team classes.
- Only competitors taking part in teams may enter the Individual classes.
- Classes may be restricted to 2teams per pony club.
- Teams to be made up of 3 or 4 riders who are members of the same branch of the Pony Club and the best three scores will count.
- Team members to jump in succession and there will be a drawn order for each team.
- Competitors may compete at more than one level but only on a different horse/pony
- Horse/pony may be ridden by two competitors but at different levels
- Tack and hats will be checked at the ‘tack check’ before competing.

Rosettes will be awarded as follows:1st to 6th in Open Individual & 1st to 4th in Open Team
1stto 8th in the Novice & Intermediate classes
1stto 10th in the Mini & Mini-Mini classes
TROPHIES
NFU Mutual Pulborough Trophies will be presented to the first placed team at each level for the Intermediate, Novice and Mini classes. The highest placed (1st to 3rd) Open non mixed team will receive the trophy. The Mini Mini first three winning teams will be awarded with medals.
Cups will be presented to the best Cowdray member in each individual class:
Open: The Cowdray Pony Club Jubilee Cup
Intermediate: The Frederick the Great Cup donated by the Pearson family
Novice: The Bellevue Huckleberry Cup donated by the Kent family
Mini:The Cowdray Mini Show Jumping Cup
Mini Mini:The Lucy Sanders cup
RULES
1.The Judge’s & Show Organiser’s decision in all matters will be FINAL.
2.This event will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2018.This show will be run in accordance with the Pony Club rules for Show Jumping 2018. Pony Club rules for Show Jumping are available to download from the Pony Club Website and a copy will be held with the secretary on the day of the competition.
3.Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, northe landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
4.The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measurers to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
5.All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Cowdray Hunt Branch of The Pony club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you.
6.The Pony Club saddlery and dress rules with be strictly enforced. Only Pony Club approved hats may be worn.
7.No spurs in the Mini Mini classes without DC’s permission
8.In the event of cancellation entry fees will be refunded less administration costs, on receipt of SAE within 14 days to cover expenses.
9.The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, and/or amend, any of the classes as they feel fit or alter advertised time or refuse entry without stating reason.
10.No entry fee will be refunded without a veterinary or doctor’s certificate.
11.Entries in all classes will be limited.
12.Telephone entries or entries without the appropriate fee will not be accepted.
13.No entries will be accepted on the day.
14.No horse/pony under the age of 4 may compete.
15.Objections accompanied by a deposit of £20 must be made in writing to the secretary within 15 minutes of the incident. The deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained.
16. Do not muck out horse-boxes on site and please take all litter home with you.
