A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA GENERAL ASSEMBLY UPON THE DEATH OF SHAR’DAYE RHINEHART OF CHESTER, WHO PASSED AWAY AT THE YOUTHFUL AGE OF ELEVEN AND TO EXTEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER LOYAL AND LOVING RELATIVES, FRIENDS, AND CHURCH FAMILY.
Whereas, the death of a young child can be immeasurably upsetting and outstandingly confusing for the friends and family of the deceased; and
Whereas, the untimely death of Shar’daye Rhinehart of Chester deeply saddens the members of the General Assembly and has moved us to honor her life; and
Whereas, Shar’daye was a faithful member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church and devoted many hours of her time to her church family and to worshiping; and
Whereas, she was a vivacious and thoughtful child who brought happiness to many by participating in the ministries of her church; and
Whereas, Shar’daye was involved in the usher ministry, served as the secretary of her Sunday school class, sang beautifully with the youth choir, and volunteered her services to the daycare program of Mount Olive Baptist Church; and
Whereas, she was not only committed to giving her time and energy to her church, but she was also dedicated to studying and received high marks throughout her time in school; and
Whereas, it is appropriate to remember the life of this spirited child who was a devoted member of her church, a committed student, and a joy to all who knew her. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the death of Shar’daye Rhinehart of Chester, who passed away at the youthful age of eleven and extend our deepest sympathy to her loyal and loving relatives, friends, and church family.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Shar’daye Rhinehart and to the Mount Olive Baptist Church of Chester.
