PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.1SINGLE DUCT CONSTANT OR VARIABLE VOLUME TERMINAL UNITS
- Acceptable Manufacturers: Titus, Environmental Technologies, Trane, Krueger, or pre-bid approved equal.
- Description: Single duct, medium velocity, pressure independent, variable volume or constant volume.
- Construct of minimum 22-gauge galvanized steel. Construction shall be leakproof with all joints sealed and all access doors gasketed. Leakage rate shall be less than 15 cfm at 3.0inch differential S.P. Provide access door for cleaning of coil as an integral part of the unit. Interior lined with coated dual density or matt faced insulation meeting NFPA 90A requirements with lining in accordance with UL l8l.
- Volume Regulator Assembly:
- Controller and actuator shall be in accordance with Section 230900, Instrumentation and Controls for HVAC Systems, and factory mounted in NEMA panel.
- Provide averaging type velocity sensor utilizing multiple sensing points.
- Factory set but field adjustable with CFM scale external to unit.
- Air valves shall be all metal construction, non-corrosive, with self-lubricating bearings and moving parts that are replaceable in the field.
- Air static pressure drop across terminal unit shall not exceed 0.35-inch W.G. without coil and 0.55-inch W.G. with water coil. Maximum inlet duct velocities shall not exceed 2200 fpm.
- Sound ratings shall be tested as power level 10-12 watts in accordance with ARI 880 standard and ASHRAE 130 at 1.5-inch W.G. inlet static pressure. Unit discharge airborne and casing radiated sound shall not exceed following rated sound power levels:

- Support terminal units from structure using threaded rod and brackets provided. Make medium velocity duct connection to the inlet with minimum length of straight duct upstream of unit as recommended by the manufacturer or as specified, whichever is greater.
- Install minimum 5 feet of lined sheet metal ductwork on outlet of terminal units, or as specified on drawings, whichever is greater. Install terminal unit to allow complete access to controls.
- Provide a minimum of 5 feet of ductwork prior to first spin-in fitting or outlet branch duct takeoff.
- Where units have loaded vinyl wrap over insulation, install wrap to allow access into control panel.
Choose from Commissioning and Testing articles. Use Commissioning if Section 019100 is included; otherwise use Testing.
3.2COMMISSIONING
