Financial Inquiries (Nyssa, Lindy, Eric)

  • Dues – Renewed as per month entered (Lindy)
  • Membership cards became obsolete. List sent to participating businesses (Lindy).
  • Finances transferred to Eric today. He’ll have report prepared for next meeting
  • Appx balance$7000.

FART Update (Judy, Mike, Scott, Cade)

  • June 14 based at City Park
  • Samantha Pede gathering data, organizing documents, investigating alternate century route, requesting coordinator support. Next Steps – next week to complete reg forms, marketing material to post, advertise.
  • Interest in Lander Hillclimb event (Pat Kerney) – discussed integrating into FART by extending route up switchbacks. Forest Service permitting demands % of proceeds when participants exceed 75. Consider another weekend, or integrate Hillclimb into club rides.

  • Next Step – pay bill, Eric will mail check

  • PO Box 1433 – Mike Lilygren will check regularly and drop mail at Bike Mill. Mike given PO Box key

Injury Prevention – new director, Nol Cooper.

Challenge for Charities (Nyssa)

  • 2013 $1400. Check previous grant report for where money was allocated
  • 2014 Suggestions for use of money - Ride Friendly Community, signage, trail-building machine$25,000. Trail work incentives, Trail signage/painted, equipment upkeep, tools, Bike safety rodeos, Contract work hired for trail building, Scholarship fund

County Rec Board Grant (Nyssa & Cade & Scott)

  • County Rec Board grant info - Fremont County website Appointed Boards Applications.
  • LCC Easy-Up Canopy for events,Scott Van Orman suggests. LCC has frequently borrowed Bridge Outdoors. Check with climber’s festival for research about pricing. Cory & Nyssa investigating pricing options based on connections.
  • Pit toilet at JBR $24,000. Partnering with BLM & Backcountry Horseman to accomplish in 3 years.
  • Mission Possible work at dirt jump park. Could identify separate, but contributing component to dirt bike

Dirt Jump Park Support (Nyssa)

  • Mission Possible seeking support from LCC for expanding Dirt Jump Park to include hiring Kyle Ebbett, Professional Park Builder plus supplies. Applying for grant.Total sought ~$7000.00 How can LCC help? MI needs $ ($2-3000).
  • Discussed and agreed that LCC would provide up to a $2000 fundraising match to MI (LCC will match up to $2000 of MI raised funds, date block to be stipulated)
  • LCC asks MI participants to assist at FART & Jurrasic Classic in manner to be determined.
  • LCC logo on signage as key contributors

Rocky Mountain Tour Race Guide (Mike L)

  • Not ready with the details to post and need to investigate cost/benefit. Consider for 2015

Bike path support (Nyssa)

  • Sam Hartpence – design work for bike path proposal on N 2nd street. City doesn’t have it on agenda. County may have it on their agenda. Need Sam to present to LCC with details. I.e, Timeline for reviewing plans, public hearings, country transpo director and get a large group in front of Commissioners to represent commitment to the project (as done in Mortimore Rd initiative).
  • Discussed Requesting a seat on board of pathways committee.

Club Mission & Vision (Leslie Van Orman Proposes)

  • Club has multi-year plan for trail building, however lacks direction with other aspects of Club priorities. We react to opportunity rather than testing it against a pre-established mission & goals.
  • Consider bigger picture aspects and priorities of club. Consider facilitated (Facilitator possibilities -Missy White, Liz Tuohy) intensive Mission & Vision workshop with Club Officers & Coordinators. Followed by meeting of the invested club members: establish club commitment to short and long term goals.

  • Stand to gain listing status & access to CofC available resources. Need more info
