- To provide management and project team staff with a view of the milestones, overall timescales and required resource commitment (from both suppliers and the office) of a project phase
- To identify any particular facilities which the phase team will require (e.g. co-location, accommodation, tools, technical environments etc.)
- To define the organisation and roles and responsibilities for the phase
- To define control mechanisms to be used for monitoring, configuration management, change control and risk management
- To provide a baseline against which progress will be measured
ContentsThis document sets out sample content for a detailed phase/stage plan as it might appear as part of a PRINCE2 project. It should be seen as a component of the overall project plan and complementary to plans for the other stages of the project.
