A RESOLUTION adjourning the House of Representatives in loving memory and honor of Kenneth W. Storey.

With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Kenneth W. Storey, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul.

WHEREAS, Kenneth W. Storey was born on October 18, 1936, a native of Norris City, Illinois, and longtime resident of Webster County, Kentucky, and he traversed these earthly bounds on April 9, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth W. Storey was the loving son of the late Clem and Marie Taylor Greenfield; he was the devoted husband of 43 years to Nancy Storey; he was the loving father of a son, Ken Storey, and the loving father-in-law of Celeste Storey; and he was the proud grandfather of a granddaughter, Taylor Storey, all of Sebree; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth W. Storey served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth W. Storey was an esteemed member of the Webster County community, where he was a member of the Sebree General Baptist Church; he was the previous owner and operator of Greenfield Furniture Company in Sebree for 26 years; he first served as deputy sheriff of Webster County for 14 years, and then was elected Sheriff of Webster County, a position he held from 1994 until 2003; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth W. Storey was a member of Bailey-Onton Masonic Lodge # 538 in Sebree, and he was a member of the Kentucky Sheriff's Association; and

WHEREAS, the passing of Kenneth W. Storey has left a void that cannot be filled, and he is mourned across the length and breadth of the Commonwealth;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The House of Representatives does hereby express its profound sense of sorrow upon the passing of Kenneth W. Storey, and extends to his family and friends its most heartfelt sympathy.

Section 2. When the House of Representatives adjourns this day, it does so in loving memory and honor of Kenneth W. Storey.

Section 3. The Clerk of the House of Representatives is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mrs. Nancy Storey, P. O. Box 68, Sebree, Kentucky 42455.
