ISSUE BEFORE THE BOARD: Revisions to Compulsory Attendance Citation
BACKGROUND:
The State Board of Education has the responsibility of establishing a citation form to be used by superintendents in citing violations for compulsory school attendance. ORS 330.095.
The State Board has previously adopted a form in OAR 581-021-0077. Due to amendments to the state law governing citations (ORS chapter 153), the form must be revised.
The proposed revisions are minor and will not impact the procedures currently used by school districts to issue citations.
