Uniform Policy 2015 – 2016
AISA required uniforms:
• School-issued white polo shirt only
• School-issued blue pants and long skirt only
• School-issued logo sweaters only
• No sweatpants, sweatshirts, hoodies
• Exceptions: senior class shirts for the graduating class (must be a senior and must be the current graduating senior shirt)
• Students may ONLY wear gym uniforms during their designated gym period
• On Thursdays, students may wear other AISA-issued shirts only. All other aspects of the uniforms must be followed (i.e. school issued pants, school issued skirts)
*Parents will receive an SMS informing them of the uniform policy:
• One sent during the summer
• One sent during new student orientation
• One sent the first day of school, after the secondary assembly
Policy for students who are out of uniform:
• Students out of uniform will not be admitted to first period class. First period teachers MUST send students out of uniform to the secretaries’ office
• First period teachers should mark student(s) as an unexcused absence
• Once in the secretaries’ office, students have 3 options:
1. Borrow and sign for needed uniform items. These items must be returned by the end of the school day
2. Buy the needed uniform items
3. Students who refuse the first two options, will have their parents called. Students will not be admitted to class without the proper uniform. After school detention will be given for the day
• Periods 2 – 5, students must remain in the appropriate uniform. If students are out of uniform, the below steps must be followed:
• Teachers should not admit students to class
• Students must be sent to the secretaries’ office
• Teachers must mark student(s) as ‘absent unexcused’
• The secretaries will follow the no uniform policy
PE Uniform Policy 2015-2016
AISA required uniform:
- school-issued yellow sports t-shirt only
- school-issused blue AISA shorts only
- sports trainers or footwear suitable for physical activity, NO sandals
- Exception: girls are permitted to wear PLAIN black or navy sweatpants
Policy for students without uniform
- the FIRST time a student brings incorrect kit or no kit at all will be a warning
- the PE staff will provide spare PE uniform that students are able to borrow for that lesson only, and must return it at the end of the lesson
- the student will be given the opportunity to buy PE uniform if they do not wish to borrow it
- if PE uniform is forgotten or incorrect for a SECOND time and EVERYTIME THEREAFTER, an after school detention will be issued, unless they choose to buy a new PE uniform; if they choose to borrow they will still be issued with an after school detention
