Short Listing Decisions

Job Description
Post Title: Development AssistantDepartment: Development / Responsible to: Development Manager
Salary: £16,123 -£18,746 / Scale: Points 12-19
Job Summary
To provide administrative support within the Development Department to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered to the Association’s internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To answer telephone calls and deal with related queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- To maintain and update client records accurately and in accordance with internal protocol, Data Protection and confidentiality requirements.
- Deal with general development departmental daily queries.
- Undertake general admin duties to include typing, filing and on occasion undertake minute taking duties as required.
- Respond to postal/email queries in accordance with established internal guidelines.
- Prepare and issue development weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Assist and consult with the Development Manager on all matters relating to development.
- Assist and prepare all documents in relation to new developments.
- Liaise with all relevant departments and bodies in relation to housing disabled adaptations.
- In conjunction with the Development Manager carry out preliminary layout sketches.
- Carryout preparatory work on, economic appraisals and post project evaluations.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for external bodies.
- To undertake any other duties delegated by Development Manager and Senior Management.
- Participate in staff development activities to enhance knowledge and skills to fulfil the role.
- To build effective relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.

- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade A-C to include Maths and English or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an admin role in an office environment
- Working knowledge of general office systems, practices and procedures
- Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of computer applications in particular Word and Excel
- The ability to establish and maintain honest and constructive working relationships
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- The ability to communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.
- The ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and follow instruction
- The ability to work in an organised and methodical way while meeting numerous deadlines.

Summary of Conditions of Service
Salary Scale: / £16,123 -£18,746 Points 12-19Hours of Work: / 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Leave Entitlement: / 21 days per annum
