‘इंटरनेट सिर्फ एक टूल यानी औज़ार है, जिसे आप सूचना, मनोरंजन, ज्ञान और व्यक्तिगत तथा सार्वजनिक संवादों के आदान-प्रदान में इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं; लेकिन इंटरनेट जहाँ सूचनाओं के आदान-प्रदान का बेहतरीन औज़ार है, वहीं वह अश्लीलता, दुष्प्रचार और गंदगी फैलाने का भी ज़रिया है। इंटरनेट पर पत्रकारिता के भी दो रूप हैं। पहला, इंटरनेट का एक माध्यम या औज़ार के तौर पर इस्तेमाल, यानी खबरों के संप्रेषण के लिए इंटरनेट का उपयोग। दूसरा, रिपोर्टर अपनी खबरों को एक जगह से दूसरी जगह तक ई-मेल के ज़रिए भेजने, समाचारों के संकलन, खबरों के सत्यापन और पुष्टिकरण में भी इसका इस्तेमाल करता है। रिसर्च या शोध का काम तो इंटरनेट ने बेहद आसान कर दिया है। टेलीविज़न या अन्य समाचार माध्यमों में खबरों के बैंकग्राउंड तैयार करने या किसी खबर की पृष्ठभूमि तत्काल जानने के लिए जहाँ पहले ढेर सारी अखबारी कतरनों की फ़ाइलों को ढूँढ़ना पड़ता था, वहीं अब चंद मिनटों में इंटरनेट के विश्वव्यापी संजाल के भीतर कोई भी बैंकग्राउंड या पृष्ठभूमि खोजी जा सकती है।’

Que2. Draw a web interconnecting different rights discussed in this chapter. For example, Right to Freedom of Movement is connected to the freedom of occupation. One reason for this is that Freedom of Movement enables a person to go to a place of work within one’s village or city or to another village, city or state. Similarly, this right can be used for pilgrimage, connected with freedom to follow one’s religion. Draw a circle for each right and mark arrows that show connection between or among different rights.
