- Children’s Ministry

3. International Student Picnic – Brandon

For the past several years we have supplied paper products for the “International Campus Ministries of the Triad’s” welcome back picnic at WFU. Scott Freese has asked us to help again this year. The picnic is August 30. Supplies will be needed for approx. 80-125 people and include plates, cups, napkins, cutlery, and 20-30 to-go boxes. Approved.

4. New Men's Ministry

Chris Lawson, Bruce Hayes, Brandon Williams and Barrett Johnson have been meeting to develop a men’s ministry for younger men, age 18-40. The group, called “The Huddle,” will meet 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Chapel on the 2nd Tuesday night of each month beginning September 11. There will be 10 leaders who will then meet at separate times to disciple 3-4 men individually. Several men have already indicated interest in being a part of this ministry. Approved

5. Publicizing sermon manuscript availability.

Susan Kendrick has taken some time off to recuperate from eye surgery and as a result recent sermon manuscripts have not been available on the web or at the Welcome Center. She hopes to resume typing manuscripts in September. A note will be included in the bulletin and on the website stating that manuscripts may not be available for all Sundays.

6. Space request from outside/for-profit organization - Dylan

Cami Fife the leader of Singers Company is requesting use of space on Mondays 3-6pm from Sept.- June. The group consists of Kindergarten through Fifth grade girls. The group is open to all girls in the community. They do charge a fee. They just need space for a maximum of 20 girls to sing and dance to recorded music and access to a restroom. TABLED

It was decided that Dylan will need to get more understanding of the content of the music being used, and ask if they would be willing to submit to background checks (at their expense) since this involves children. If allowed, there would be no charge for them to use the space.

Respectfully submitted,

Lisa Shirley
