Station Approach, Station Road, Pershore
Proposed development of existing car park to B1 light industrial
Decision:-No objection but strictly on the understanding that this does not impact detrimentally on already agreed application W/12/01572 which is of strategic importance to the future viable operation of Pershore Railway Station. DS/CP/RG
The Clerk advised that an amendment to this application has been submitted with
an amended location plan and corrected certificate B and members had no objection
to this amendment.

Decision:No objection to proposals for non-illuminated signage but objection to illuminated aspect against planning policy which states no illuminated signage in the conservation area.

Decision:-Objection. Cramped development and over development of the site. Insufficient provision for parking of vehicles.

Decision:-Objection. The proposed site is known to flood from the river and is backland development. Concerns over narrow access from the High Street and the property is out of keeping in the

Decision:-No objection but would draw the planning officer’s attention to the possibility of contamination of the site from the previous petrol station.

The Vice Chairman reported on recent approvals and refusals
It was agreed the Clerk write to Wick Parish Council and Wychavon D C about concerns as to the distraction to motorists of large banners on the fence on the corner of Pensham turn.

a.Cllr Grantham reported that the District Council were aware of the scaffolding around the Polish Food Shop which was to make some urgent roof repairs.
b.The Clerk advised members that she had reported the illuminations around 45 High Street to enforcement as the shop was in the conservation area.
c.The Clerk advised that the Bloor Homes sign had been erected at the entrance to the town despite the refusal of the planning application and the Clerk had advised enforcement accordingly.
