Aadva: one name for many ultramodern CAD/CAM and implant solutions
GC offers dentists and dental technicians a wide range of dental products in the area of restorative dentistry, prevention and prosthetics. As the field of CAD/CAM and implantology is daily gaining significance for dentists and dental technicians, GC is now presenting a wealth of possibilities and solutions for aesthetically successful and durable implant treatments.
With the opening of the CAD/CAM-supported production centre, GC Tech.Europe, in September 2008 in the Belgian city of Leuven, the company decided to commit fully to the implant market – partly with the aim of offering very high-quality abutments and superstructures but also a modern implant system. After years of intensive research, the ultramodern CAD/CAM system under the brand name Aadva has for some time been fabricating zirconia copings, multiple-unit bridge frameworks and individual implant abutments as well as screw-retained superstructures (suitable for all popular implant systems!) made of titanium, zirconia and cobalt-chrome alloys – initially still limited to the Belgian and French market.
GC Tech.Europe is therefore presenting itself at this IDS as a versatile and expert CAD/CAM fabrication centre and showing visitors to the trade fair its comprehensive range of modern, patient-friendly Aadva restorations – from single crowns through to complete dental arch solutions. To complete its product range, the company is presenting its new implant system for the first time at IDS, under the same name: Aadva.
Full service for dentists involved in implantology
The long-term goal of GC is to put together a full service offer for dentists wanting to get into implantology. In the near future the company will provide these dentists with the following (software-supported) precision solutions for this purpose: implants, abutments and frameworks, digital impressions with the intraoral scanner, modern CAD/CAM concepts and designs, ceramic and acrylic materials as well as implant prosthetic cements.
The Aadva implant system being presented for the first time at this IDS delivers a complete yet clearly arranged concept for dentists. The new Aadva implant is an endosseous screw implant made of a specific titanium alloy in various lengths (from 8 to 14 mm) and diameters (3.3, 4 and 5 mm). Given good primary stability and appropriate occlusal loading, it is suitable for immediate implant placement. Based on the latest research results, it has the following characteristics:
- A superior screw design with a homogeneous, rough surface microstructure for optimum osseointegration
- Respects the soft tissue and hence reduces the risk of peri-implantitis
- Unique thread for successful primary stability
- Specific colour coding of the implant holders with contact-free delivery system
- Harmonized standards for Aadva surgery kits and packaging
- A specific CAD/CAM-fabricated restoration – functional as well as aesthetic
- Lots of complementary dental products (e.g. the GCInitial ceramic systems and the multiple-indication self-adhesive cement G-CEM) improve the final aesthetics and guarantee lasting, stable results
Perfect entry-level system – versatile and functional
My verdict therefore is: GC Tech.Europe offers dentists and dental technicians very high-quality products and services utilizing modern CAD/CAM technology. With the launch of the new Aadva implant system, GC makes it easier for dentists to get into implant prosthetics with a comprehensive product portfolio and interesting full service offers – from A for abutments to I for impressions and individual implant solutions through to Z for zirconia restorations, for example. The Aadva implant system guarantees dentists a wide variety of functional and aesthetic restoration possibilities.
Finally, the new implant system from GC makes my day-to-day work easier – thanks to high durability and functionality of the coordinated materials and processes as well as excellent aesthetics of the implant prosthetic treatment – and this benefits not just my practice but, above all, my patients.
