The Board of Supervisors of East Franklin Township met in the Municipal Building at
4:00 p.m. for a regular meeting.

MINUTES:
Motionmade by David Stewartand seconded byDan Goldingerto approve
minutes for June 29, 2017 regular meeting. Motion approved unanimously.
APPROVE BILLS AND INVOICES:
Motion made byBarry Petersand seconded by David Stewart to approve
paying all bills and invoices for June 30 through July 25, 2017. Motion
approved unanimously.
POLICE REPORT:
Total reportable calls – 54.
Motion made byDavid Stewartand seconded by Dan Goldinger to approve the
Police Report forJune 30 through July25, 2017. Motion approved
unanimously.
REGULAR MEETING –JULY 25, 2017
APPROVALS (Continued):
ROAD MASTER REPORT:
This month we have had several strong storms. This means we have a lot of
work cleaning up after them. Ditches were washed out and needed to be
filled back in, drains were covered with debris and needed to be cleaned,
dirt roads, were washed out and needed to be graded, and several trees
and limbs had to be removed and roadways. Also we have preparing for
our sealcoat project which was rescheduled for Wednesday, July 26.
We have been cleaning ditches and grading roads to get them ready.
A catch basin on Parkview Drive had to dug up and repaired because
The water was eroding the ground under the road and caused a large
hole in the road. And we continued our roadside mowing.

PLANNING COMMSSION:
Tim Medice – The Planning Commission recommends to the Supervisors to
approve residential zoning permit for Scott Kelly, 261 Fox Hollow Road,
Kittanning, PA 16201.
Motion made byBarry Petersand seconded byDan Goldinger to approve
residential zoning permit for Scott Kelly. Motion approved unanimously.
SEWAGE REPORT:

Motion made by Barry Petersand seconded by Dan Goldinger to approve the
Sewage Report for June 30 through July 25, 2017. Motion approved
unanimously.

AUDIT – LOCAL SERVICE TAX:
Motion made byDavid Stewartand seconded by Dan Goldinger to approve audit
for local service tax for the year 2016. Motion approved unanimously.
TRASH WEEK:
Motion made by Barry Peters and seconded by Dan Goldinger to approve to set
trash week for Thursday through Saturday, October 5 – 7, 2017. Motion
approved unanimously. Hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m – October 5 and 6. And
7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday October 7, 2017.
