IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS TO READ
Please read before delivery/installation of your cooker
Thank you for purchasing a Lacanche cooker, please be advised that the gas hose is not supplied with the cooker, these can be purchased separately from us. To ensure that delivery/installation of your cooker runs smoothly it is essential that you read the following carefully and adhere to all specifications.
Gas Supply
Please check that the gas supply required (Natural/LPG) is correctly stated on our Order Acknowledgement.
A suitable diameter copper pipe is required to supply the appliance with a constant 20 millibars of natural or 37 millibars of propane gas. The last metre of the copper pipe should step to a 15mm diameter. The gas pipe should terminate a maximum of 500mm to the left (not directly behind) of the appliance. The pipework should be at a height of 500mm and terminate with a plug in female bayonet pointing downwards. Please see Fig 1
Access to the plug in bayonet must be maintained at all times. The flexible cooker pipe must be un-obstructed and be able to hang from the bayonet to the cooker in a U shape. Please see Fig 2

Electrical Connections
The electrical connection point must be within 1 metre of the appliance. The root of the wire connection must be such that the cable is not subjected to extremes of temperature or mechanical damage. There must be a double pole isolation switch, which must be easily accessible for the user and not placed behind the appliance. The correct rate of fuse must be fitted at the consumer unit.
The electrical connections required are ticked below:

* 13-amp electrical connection – the appliance must be hard wired into a 13-amp fuse spur socket with a cable size of 2.5mm. The isolation point for the cooker must be accessible to the customer. The appliance must not be connected to the electrical supply by the use of a 3-pin plug.
ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS TO THE COOKING APPLIANCE MUST BE MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE IEE WIRING REGULATIONS
Building in Instructions
Plinth
- When the appliance is being built in to a run of units, a gap of 50mm must be allowed on both sides unless the sides of the unit adjacent to the cooker are covered with a non-combustible material. Otherwise the units must not butt up to the sides of the cooker. An infill strip can be used to conceal the gap. Secondly, the units must not be built proud of the oven doors, but must be flushed with the main body of the oven. The distance from the back of the hob to the front body of the range is 595mm
- The stainless steel hob of the appliance must be at the same height as the adjoining worktops. These worktops can butt up to the hob.
- If a plinth is required to make the cooker up to the work top height, the depth of the plinth is less that than of the depth of the cooker, see adjoining drawings. The plinth should be made out of hard wood or concrete. The depth of the plinth from back to front should be 590mm.
- The minimum height above the hob of a cooker that an extractor can be placed is 800/850mm (depending on which model). Wall units that are placed to the left and right of the cooker must have a minimum height of 450mm height from the worktop to the bottom of the wall unit. No combustible material, such as timber shelving should be placed directly above the cooker.
Important Delivery Details
Please inspect your cooker at the time of delivery. If the appliance is received damaged please sign the delivery docket as damaged and report to Fourneaux De France Ltd within 24 hours of the day of delivery. Fourneaux De France Ltd will accept no claims for damage unless the above procedure is followed.
Do not lift the cooker by the handrail as this will result in damage to the control panel which will not be covered by the warranty.
Old appliances and packaging will not be removed.
Deliveries are on an anytime during the day basis from 8.00am to 8.00pm.
Door widths must be a minimum of 750mm. Please advise us if there are any obstructions or hindrances, e.g. steps to basements, narrow passages or if the delivery is not to a ground floor.
Warranty
Your Lacanche cooker has a 3 year electro mechanical parts and labour warranty. This warranty is subject to completion and return of the customer registration form to Fourneaux de France Ltd. We must point out at this stage that, should you experience any problems that are directly attributable to faulty connection or poor commissioning carried out by an engineer other than our own, they will not be covered by the warranty and a call out charge will be made to rectify the problem.
