Community and Technical College Networks

The Mapping Upward project, supported by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE), Division of Academic and Technical Education, will provide technical assistance to sector-focused college networks as they work to embed stackable, industry-recognized credentials within technical associate degree programs. Networks should consist of two to four (2–4) colleges. Up to five networks will be selected for participation. Technical assistance will be delivered July 2016–August 2017.

Application for Network Participation

This form should be completed by the network’s lead college and reflect information about all colleges in the network. Each college should contribute content related to its past experience and intended contributions as described below. All items on the form should be completed. Details about technical assistance services, network composition, and selection criteria can be found in the attached Technical Assistance Overview. Network Commitment to Project

·  Participate in the Mapping Upward Technical Assistance Institute, July 21–22, 2016, at Gateway Technical College in Racine, WI, and underwrite participant travel expenses.

·  Identify deliverables we will work toward throughout the project with the assistance of a technical assistance coach.

·  Designate a team that will consistently participate in technical assistance calls, webinars, and other coaching services throughout the project, July 2016–August 2017.

·  Commit to an action plan, including providing the human and fiscal resources necessary to carry out the proposed work and participate in required activities.
