These prices are effective as ofApril 17, 2018, but are subject to change without notice.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide. You may choose only the items you desire; however,
any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead.
If legal or other requirements indicate you must purchase any items you did not specifically ask for, we will
explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide, describing the funeral merchandise and services you selected.
1. Local Transfer of Remains to Harkins Funeral Homewithin a 25 Mile radius and BWI………………………………… $ 460.00
2.Embalming: Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain arrangements, such as a service with viewing. We guarantee all embalming is completed only by a licensed mortician.

3.Other Preparation of Remains:

4.Basic Services of the Funeral Director, Staff and Overhead...... $ 3035.00
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the final arrangements you select.
This fee is already included in our charges for cremation and burial packages, immediate burial and forwarding or receiving remains.
Included is the following: Staff available 24 hours daily to respond to the initial request for services; conference with the family or its representative to determine desired services and to obtain vital statistic information for required documents; sheltering of remains for up to four days, coordinating the desired service plans with: clergy, cemetery, crematory, and/or other third parties; preparation and filing of all necessary notices, authorizations, and permits with governmental agencies; follow up attention to related details of the service.
In addition this fee includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs such as: compliance with infectious waste management regulations and employee safety regulations mandated by governmental agencies; general administration and record keeping.
5.Optional Use of Funeral Home Facilities, Staff and Equipment: may include the following:
Supervision by funeral director and staff for visitation and/or service; receiving and arrangement of flowersand other memorial tributes;
professional adherence to the rituals of designated religious faiths and/or fraternal orders.
In addition, our facilities provide ADA accommodations including restrooms, entrance and designated parking spaces, parking on site with staff assistance, visual and audio equipment, funeral home website, Facebook page, assistance with qualifying veteran benefits,
assistance with life insurance filing and coordinating transport to and from our funeral home for out of town arrangements.
