Lesson 8-6: Problem Solving: Make an Organized List

Students will use groups of tens and ones to show and write a given two-digit number.

Students will read and write two-digit numbers as groups of 10 and some left over, count groups of ten, up to 10 tens, and write how many, use groups of tens and ones to show and write a given two-digit number, and break apart a ten to make a ten with 10 ones and write new representations in expanded form. Students will discuss, check, and correct work on the reteaching packet.
Tuesday Math---Topic 8: Tens and Ones Study Guide packet pages 295-296
Common Core Standards: 1.NBT.2, 1.NBT.2.a, 1.NBT.2.c
Students will read and write two-digit numbers as groups of 10 and some left over, count groups of ten, up to 10 tens, and write how many, use groups of tens and ones to show and write a given two-digit number, model a two-digit number and write its expanded form, break apart a ten to make 10 ones or make a ten with 10 ones and write new expressions in expanded form, and solve problems by making a list to show different ways to make a number.
Students will discuss, check, and correct work on the study guide and take home to study.
Wednesday Math---Topic 8 Tens and Ones assessment multiple choice and constructed response assessment

Thursday Math---Students will be given time before lunch to make corrections on their math test from the day before
After lunch 11:40-12:40, students will go to Lexia Reading in computer lab across from our classroom. Login cards are beside computers in our room in red basket. Earbuds/headphones are in basket on shelf behind my desk.
Friday Math---Topic 9: Comparing and Ordering Numbers to 100

Lesson 9-1: 1 More, 1 Less, 10 More, 10 Less
Common Core Standards: 1.NBT.4, 1.NBT.5
Students will write the numbers that are 1 more or 1 less and 10 more or 10 less than a two-digit number.
