CLUB INFORMATION

Elmhurst is an exciting 18 hole regulation course located in Moscow, PA. From the longest tees it presents 6,788 yards of golf for a par of 72.The course rating is 71.6 with a slope rating of 128. The club also features a full driving range, two putting greens, a chipping green, and a short game practice area. The course was opened in 1929. ECC hosted the 2008 & 09 Nationwide Tour – Pennsylvania Northeast Golf Classic tournament. Other amenities include a 17,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with ladies & men’s locker rooms. There are two member dining areas, a banquet room that seats 185 for private & club social functions, and the ever popular patio that offers spectacular views. There is a separate building for the Pro-Shop and member club storage. Elmhurst CC has 340 Senior members (regular) and 745 total memberships in all categories. Dues generated are roughly 1.2 million, F & B sales approximately $900,000 annually. The golf season is 8 to 9 months long, with 20,000 to 21,000 rounds of golf played each season. The club typically closes the months of January and February and reopens sometime in March. The club closed in December for a $1.25 million clubhouse renovation, currently in progress.

POSITION SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an upscale hotel or private club, with a record of success in leading a service team in providing a superior dining experience. The F&B Manager should possess the ability to interface confidently with members, guests, subordinates, and kitchen employees. The aspirant should possess strong experience in event sales and banquet execution. Other skills include excellent relationship building, strong consistent staff training anda team work ethic, knowledge of policy and procedures, attention to details, and a passion to increase industry understanding.

The Food & Beverage Managerwould be expected to have the following skill sets:

  • Preparation of the annual Food & Beverage Operations Budget in conjunction with the GM and the Controller. Monitor and oversee approved plan.
  • Maintaining appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of facilities.
  • Approving all product invoices before they are submitted to accounting.
  • Overseeing the proper accounting and reconciliation of the point of sale systems and member revenues on a daily basis.
  • Assure that an accurate reservation system and policy is in place for member dining and club functions.
  • Maintain detailed daily records for each shift/special functions, house counts, food covers, and daily sales volumes for each outlet.
  • Assist in creating and planning special marketing/sales promotions and activities for the Food & Beverage department.
  • Assist and provide final approval of menus and prices proposed by the Executive Chef for all outlets and special events.

Job Requirements
3 - 5 years experience in the Food & Beverage industry
A BS or higher in hospitality or related fields is preferred; appropriate professional training, and a record of continuing education.

Compensation package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
