Call for Expression of Interest - Conduct of Multi-Client Geotechnical Surveys for Hydrocarbon in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Mauritius
(Authorised under Section 24 (2) of the Public Procurement Act 2006)
A. INTRODUCTION
The Department of Continental Shelf, Maritime Zones Administration and Explorationhereby invites Expression of Interest from qualified companies for conducting Multi- Client Geotechnical Surveys for Hydrocarbon exploration in the EEZ of Mauritius.
B. OBJECTIVES
The ‘Multi-Client’ surveys shall permit the acquisition of new seismic data using modern technology and shall as well provide new prospection insights in the region. The data acquired shall constitute a primary dataset for the allocation and development of concession areas and for future detailed exploration and exploitation activities. The ‘Multi-Client’ surveys will be conducted in the waters of Mauritius as detailed in the annexed map (Annex 1).
C. CLARIFICATIONS

D. SUBMISSION
Expressions of Interest, together with any other documents, must be addressed to the Secretary for Home Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office and deposited by hand or by post or by courier in the Tender Box or Registry located at Level 4, Prime Minister’s Office, New Government House, Port Louis up to 13.30 hours on Wednesday 29 June 2016.

The envelope should be clearly marked “Multi-client Geotechnical Surveys for Hydrocarbon Exploration. Reference: CSMZAE/EOI/2016/02”. Expressions of Interest received after the set deadline or submitted by email or fax will not be considered.
E. CONTENT OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Expression of Interest shall include the following:
1. A work programme indicating line locations and lengths.
2. Any further details deemed necessary.
Proposals relating to exclusivity period to license the data acquired and for revenue sharing shall not be submitted at this stage.
F. PROFILE OF POTENTIAL COMPANIES
The Expression of Interest shall contain required information as in the guidelines at Annex 2.
