LAST MONTH’S CAMPOUT – Good Sam 2015 Spring Samboree – April 15–19 – E/B April 14

Thank you to President Burt Pritchett for the following information: 7 Seahorses rigs attended the event in Okeechobee. Nancy Holly won the hat contest; she does a good job with this activity. Congratulations, Nancy! Our picnic basket raffle was a success; we made $145 for our Dogs for the Deaf Fund. Thank you to Janie Teal for putting the basket together for us, and everyone who manned the raffle table. Our ASD Wayne & Joan McGee put on a lovely breakfast for his chapters; we ate in the pool area by the main building. It was very nice; thank you! We were saddened to accept the resignation of our charter member, Ken Asburry. His health no longer allows him to camp; he has been a member since 1979. He will be missed; he gave a generous donation to our Dogs for the Deaf. Ken knows how much this charity means to our chapter. Bob and Bonnie Mueller camped with the Seahorses for the first time, and joined in our activities. Welcome! They won the chapter 50/50, and were kind enough to donate the winnings to our Dogs for the Deaf fund. We are hopeful that they will join us at future campouts. At the State Committee business meeting on Saturday morning, three chapters turn in their charters. There is talk about restoring the winter Samboree either in 2016 or 2017. Plans are still not complete; to be announced.

Sunshine Chair – Thelma LeBright

Thelma continues to make our lovely personalized cards; she does a fantastic job. Birthday cards for our members, Bill and Thelma are spending time at their home in Kentucky during the summer months.

Bill LeBright turned 80 on April 13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BILL – MANY MORE!
