APPLICATION FOR END-OF-CAREER CONTRACT
Staff who are full-time or part-time with a service fraction of at least 50% may apply to voluntarily convert to a fixed-term part-time appointment of at least 50% of a full-time equivalent for a period of between one (1) and three (3) years as a transitional arrangement prior to retiring from the University. The University shall continue to pay the employer superannuation contribution at the pre-conversion rate over the fixed period and the employee may elect to continue to pay the employee contributions at the pre-conversion rate over the fixed period.
Please note the following: Ongoing staff who enter this arrangement relinquish their ongoing status with the University. The term of this arrangement will not exceed any existing fixed-term contract period. The University recommends that an employee obtains financial advice regarding the impact on their superannuation entitlement prior to entering into the arrangement.
