Still Time to‘Bake a Difference’ for NZRDA and the Gingerbread Horse Campaign
There’s still time for people in the <Community name> community tosign upas Gingerbread Horse Bakersin support of this years’NZRDA Gingerbread Horse Campaign.
The campaign asks individuals, schools and businesses across the country to register as Bakers, then bake and decorate horse-shaped Gingerbread biscuits using the items provided in their baking packs. From the end of JulyBakers will then sell their tasty gingerbread biscuits to friends, family, workmates and the general public before banking the final amountraised with NZRDA.
With New Zealand baking icon and recent recipient of the NZ Order of Merit, Jo Seagar,on board as official spokesperson, the campaign has already seen over 600 Bakers from around the country sign up and pledging to bake over 40,000 biscuits using Jo’s special recipe.
<Name>, <Title> of <RDA Group Name>, says that there are plenty of incentives in place this year to encourage people to ‘bake a difference’ in support of their local RDA.
“This year we’ve introduced special rewards for Bakers who complete their baking and selling at a high level – everything from certificates to baking aprons.
We also have some incredible prizes up for grabs, including a $1,000 Breville prize package and a special Masterclass baking lesson with Jo Seagar for up to seven people.”
All funds raised from this initiative allow the 55 RDA Groups around New Zealand to continue making a positive difference to the lives of disabled children and adults in the community, including at <RDA Group Name> while provides therapeutic riding sessions to over <Rider numbers> each year.

“All you need are the basic skills and creativity to bake and decorate the biscuits, and the motivation to sell them to friends, family, workmates and the community”.
People can sign up as Individual, Business or School Bakers via the website with each Baker sent a free baking pack containing everything they need to start baking their Gingerbread Horse biscuits. Registrations close on 12th August and Bakers are asked to have completed their baking and selling by 31st August.
