To Athletic Trainers:
This is to provide you with information regarding Athletic Training services which will be available throughout the Centennial Conference Wrestling Championships on February 22, 2014 at Ursinus College. There will be three mats going all day located in Helfferich Gymnasium. Below is information regarding Athletic Training services that will be available:
· Our team physician, Dr. Gary Canner of Berkshire Orthopedics, will be on site throughout the day.
· Our Athletic Training Room will be open in the morning, two hours prior to the start of the tournament, to any team traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer for any treatments that they wish to conduct.
· The Athletic Training Room will also be available to any team traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer throughout the day.
· Our first aid station will be located in the Helfferich Gymnasium to the left of the glass doors as you enter the gymnasium. It will remain open throughout the duration of the tournament and at least a half hour after wrestling concludes.
· Skin checks will be at 7:45am and will take place in the field house. Please make sure all questionable skin issues are properly documented on the NCAA skin infection form.
· Teams not traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer, please send a fully stocked kit with your team as well as a note indicating any taping procedures your team will require. We will not provide any treatments (moist heat, stim, etc.) Teams traveling with a Certified Athletic Trainer may provide treatment for their athletes in the Athletic Training Room.
